Childcare During Worship Services

CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP SERVICES

Childcare is provided at both worship services during the fall, winter, and spring and during the 9:30 worship service in the summer.  Our caring volunteers agree to our church’s childcare standards by signing a written pledge.  There are at least two adults or one adult and one teen providing the care in each of two settings. Children may be taken to Childcare either before the service or after “Small Talk” during the service or anytime during the service for infants, if they become fussy.

NURSERY

image002Infants-early walkers are cared for in the nursery.  There are rocking chairs for quiet comforting or sharing a story.  There are toys and a place to crawl in this loving environment.  A changing area and sink are also located here.  Parents can feel at ease knowing a nursery volunteer can locate them during church services if need be. The Nursery is located in the Christian Education wing of the building.  Our only requests are that diaper bags be clearly marked and any special needs of the child, such as food allergies, be identified to the nursery volunteer.

LOG CABIN ROOM

image004Pre-school children ages (about 2 – 5) are cared for in the Log Cabin Room (Room 201).  During services, these children enjoy a Bible-based lesson including a craft.  Here children can play games, read books, play with toys and enjoy the company of their peers.  Since the Log Cabin Room has internal toilet facilities, the child does not need to leave the room while there.  Children and Worship is also available for 4 – 5 year olds.  The Log Cabin Room is located in the Christian Education wing of the building.
